Does anybody know if there has been any movement on the Newstead waiting list?

We are the waiting list too. We haven't heard anything either. What number are you Munchkin?

There is movement on the list at Newstead. We have moved from 20 up to 10. Registrar at the school doesnt think it will go down that low unfortunately

Oh what bad luck, its such a long drawn out process. Do hope your DD is happy with her allocated school. Are you appealing? Our DD was 4th on list and was offered a place on 20th April.

We have got Wilmington which she does really like, but it will mean her getting home quite a bit later than if she got in to NW with the required coach journey. Which considering the expected heavy workload isn't ideal. Not sure on what grounds you can appeal to get into NW to be honest. At the open day the HT said, you have to be in the top 130 scorers and that is about it etc.

Re appeal I know what you mean, I guess on the grounds that she is so close to cut off score, but the chances of it being upheld are really slim.Good luck to her at Wilmington, it is a lovely school, but its just the journey, especially in the winter.
