Glad you are all getting feedback. DS has decided to go mute!

I'll be glad when this week is over... another 2 tomorrow.

DS was supposed to have English Lit, AS German (writing) and Geography today. We decided that he would not do the AS German as he is going to carry it on to A level (so little point); I am so glad we did (13 boys did the 3 exams from his school today). :(

DC said English Lit was good - big shout out to 'piggys' on those handy little pointers for Macbeth, DC said they were really useful :) any handy hints on Poetry 8)

Geography was going ok until last question, was in the zone and didn't look up to see how much time was left and ran out of time (12 point question  ) so managed to only get about half way through answering before 'pens down' - most annoyingly it was a question DC was comfortable with  ... DCs now worried as this potentially is one of their A-level choices. Had to remind DC that they have two more papers to go and not to worry as they may have done well in the rest of that paper.

DC also managed to just about finish his Geog paper and still worrying about missing some questions, as some friends were not able to finish. Anyway, this paper has only 35% weight. 65% still to come.

DD also reported that many struggled to finish in her school so maybe a theme.

This seems to be the whole problem with Geography. Its not that the subject matter is hugely difficult, its the sheer volume of it and the time pressure in the exam. Physics however is all about the difficulty, at least in this house

Daughter had a bit of a stress last night when at a dinner table conversation I just happened to ask her to explain the difference between alphas, betas and gammas and she realised she had alphas and betas mixed up, thankfully all good this morning.:-)
Its an alevel choice so a bit of pressure today.

I'll be around this evening if there are any last minute maths problems - it's the non-calculator paper tomorrow so check they have a ruler, pair of compasses and a protractor.

Thanks Guest55

Physics is a bit of a mixed bag today - DD can whizz through some of it and then hits the brick wall that is electricity. She has gone to revise at school today with all the formulae on flashcards as she has forgotten them all since the mocks. It would have been her 4th A level choice if she hadn't seen the wisdom of sticking with 3 so it is serving as reinforcement of the actual choices.
