Coursework is being replaced by supervised assignments across pretty much all boards which used it. The students will complete assignments in school, under supervised conditions. They will be able to do research at home. This has been done to try and prevent students getting coursework done by parents, or just downloading it all from the internet, and to try to limit cheating. It will happen in all schools. Only the IGCSE, which doesn't use coursework, will remain unaffected - this is more like the old 'O' level, with the exam being taken on a day.

There is nothing sinister about it - do not fear! It will be across the board(s).
