1st yr of AQA level 2 sciences

Post by moved »

Paper 1 for all three of these exams was before half term; they seemed reasonably straightforward.
Does anyone know if paper 2 is the tricky one?

I think this is a pretty straightforward course.
Pretty sure that paper 2 is a bit more about applying skills and knowledge so I guess in that sense is could be a bit trickier?

Thanks, DS is concerned that the grade boundaries will be very high. He is hoping for a bit more challenge in the next papers. Roll on 14th June!

Sorry, I don't understand this so apologies for not responding.

You should be able to see the grade boundaries from previous years - either on the exam board web site or just try googling.
Some of my DCs did one of the 'basic' science GCSEs and they did need pretty high marks for the A* grade - not much room for error - but it wasn't this particular one.

No previous years available. This is the first year of these papers.
AQA level 2 certs in physics, chemistry and biology. Sometimes described as igcses.

Sorry slug, not sure what your problem is. With the lazy, but bright, often unfocused one, all positives are taken kindly.
