MFL teachers- any advice please?

I phoned the school again this morning to double check, and yes the exams officer was last in on GCSE results day and is now away until even later than I thought- the 9th September! So we'll have to wait until then to request a re-mark.

We have requested a re-mark so will wait for the outcome....

The re-mark came back unchanged.
The MFL teacher is still baffled as to why her mark and the exam board's marks are so different as she maintains she followed the mark scheme exactly, but I suppose we'll never know.
