I think that is now out of date. I did post something, possibly this?

It was said that grade 4 would be the 'new' standard but the push is for a grade 5 ie higher than now. The award of '9' will be capped.

IS that a bit small? Best I can do but I think it's decipherable. That's an official government one. So, likely to change before anyone actually sits the exams.

Amber - that was what WAS said but the latest I've heard is that 5 will be required as 'the standard' to make the UK in line with other countries ....

Grade 5 will be positioned in the top third of the marks for a current grade C and
bottom third of the marks for a current grade B. This will mean it will be of
greater demand than the present grade C, and broadly in line with what the best
available evidence tells us is the average PISA performance in countries such
as Finland, Canada, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

It has changed - initially a 4 was going to be the KS4 requirement but about a year ago it changed to a 5.

[Changing things without telling people is becoming a trend - another is the change in paying back your SFE loan with the £21 000 not now rising in line with inflation - kept quiet until someone noticed]

and if it's anything like primary, 5 will not be good enough, so everyone will be expected to be 6, then 6 becomes the norm and not good enough.......

cynical and jaded?
moi?
