The advice above should all help ensure work is properly focussed.
Depending on the nature of your DC do make sure they don't panic and end up as a 'headless chicken' or give up and 'zone out'.
There is plenty of time to get on top of things with a reasonable level of hard work.
As suggested above, do get to the bottom of what went wrong in the mocks. Lack of knowledge, lack of understanding and poor exam technique require different plans of attack!

My DS had to resit Maths GCSE and in the space of two weeks went from an E in his first practice paper to Bs by the end of the two weeks. He then got a B in the actual exam. He did lots of practice papers during the two weeks so definitely time to improve if DC uses revision time effectively.
