Get a copy ( not the actual paper) and go through it against the mark scheme or get a reliable teacher to do so before you make a decision.

I did not think you could do that for GCSE.

It says:

"Can I see my marked question paper before requesting a review of marking?

No. We've agreed with the other awarding organisations that we won't offer this service for your qualification.

This is to ensure that all students are offered the same services, regardless of which awarding organisation they completed their qualification with.

If you request a copy of your exam paper, it will be sent to your school or college after the review of marking deadline. If you think you might want to get the marking of your exam paper reviewed, you should discuss this with your teacher as they are in the best position to advise you. "

Physics

She got 79 (B) 92 (a*) 98 (a*) on the 3 units respectively

Overall got 357 and boundary is 360

I was delighted she got an A but she wants to appeal.

She emailed teacher, no reply yet.

Music was 5 below A*. I haven't analysed that yet

Sorry - got confused with another thread on A levels. I'll be more careful.

Physics was AQA. Now we have the colum that just says "points" in the photo our friend sent (we are abroad) and it is 52- is that UMS?

No - that is the 'points' score of an A grade.

Is it really worth quibbling an A? Just a question, that's all. :D

Yes, I think it is,gcse have greater significance now with more linear A levels, kids should get the correct result they have worked hard for-ok, grades may up or down but every candidate deserves the correct grade and uniform marking not dependent on an examiner having a 'bad day'.
