DD says 75% of her cohort are thinking of doing 3 A-levels, 20%, one AS and 3 A-levels and 5% to carry four As to the end.

Some are offering more than three but are making 'cuts' elsewhere e.g. larger teaching groups, fewer lessons.
In some schools the sixth form is being expanded to cover the lower funding or the teaching is being subsidised by cuts to teaching assistants or other support staff.
In the worst cases the sixth form is being subsidised by cutting provision to Years 7 to 11 ...

Has this already started or is this planned from September 2017?
