I'm finding that not all the past papers/mark schemes/ examiners reports for the old GCSEs are still around. For example, I could find the old AQA chemistry, physics and biology stuff, but not the old AQA Religious Studies or English stuff. The RS and English would be really useful for DD. Anyone know if they are still on-line anywhere?

Try googling - sometimes after three years they are removed for copyright reasons. You many find them online elsewhere.
Here's some RS papers for example: https://revisionworld.com/gcse-revision ... ast-papers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The New GCSE English language exam spec is very different from the old one. There is no more 'thoughts and feelings' question and no more 'image analysis and headline' question either. The old one won't really help you tbh.

Guest55 - that's helpful, thank you

It's more the english Literature DD wanted to look at - the language is, as you say, very different to the old one my son sat.

All of DDs science teachers (and my sister, who is a chem teacher) recommended she look at past papers, even though they are the old specs, as the ‘science’ itself doesn’t change. Much the same with maths and german teachers too, although there’s a bit more differences in topics covered between old and new for those.

She is doing ICT and textiles which are both old GCSEs so plenty of relevant papers for those.

However for other subjects, including English, past papers haven’t really been mentioned by her teachers.
