No feedback yet on OCR Eng Lit, but was worried about it.
His room is an awful mess, revision books and notes on every part of the floor! I'm keeping out, I don't want to mess up his system!!!

‘Not so good’. DC not happy with his test today.

I have now worked through the Edexcel maths paper 1 from yesterday; if you have any queries then PM me. I don't want to post questions here as teachers will want to use the paper.

DS a lot happier today with the Eng Lit paper.
The one the other day he said he didn't know what to do!
Today, Macbeth and poetry, he knew exactly what to do.
Finished the week on positive note!
Now playing Fortnite again!

DD's feedback from AQA Lit 2 today was that it went well. She was v pleased with the questions which came up so you can't ask for more I guess.

DD also did AQA lit today, she was very pleased with questions but ran out of time on the last poem comparison question(although she thinks she had most of what she wanted to write as she had already written over a page.)

DC home from Eng Lit (Poetry/Jekyll & Hyde) - their response, it was OK. Is that a good OK or a bad OK? - their reply - OK Poetry is DCs least favourite subject, so was generally happy that they managed to get through the paper and relieved that Eng Lit is out of the way
DC now on playstation (first time in ages), with school friends, chilling for a few days before back to the grind on Monday ... definitely needs a break as mentally exhausted X x x

DD thought WJEC Eng Lit 2 was good (P&P, Curious Incident and unseen poetry) but she ran out of time and now keeps thinking of things she should have said. Not her favourite subject so she has bid it farewell with pleasure.

Seems like poetry was not his strong area today. He thinks he did very poorly there.tiffinboys wrote:‘Not so good’. DC not happy with his test today.
But he only needs a 6 in either Literature or Language.

Dd did was English. Worried she didn't number answers properly.
Apparently there are two boxes, one per digit. So she put 27 as could not easily fit in 27.1 but when she got to 27.2, she squeezes three digits in - so 27.1 is just written as 27.
Paper was ok apparently - she was lucky with the poem that came up - and just before the exam learned quotes for correct character.
Do you think her numbering will be a problem? She only realised afterwards.
my older daughter made a similar mistake 2 years ago. Honestly. It did not affect her grade.
