Joining as a GCSE first-timer for DD.

Suspect the main pressure area for her (and presumably everyone else) is time management. Y10 exams seemed to provide a bit of a kick up the rear - first time she'd had to revise for a full set of exams. A part-time job she had, ended recently as the café closed but she has badminton training 3 times a week plus regular Sunday tournaments

The other issue is what subjects to do at A Level - she has no idea what she wants to do and Year 11s seem to have to decide this sooner rather than later. My own College has recently revised its curriculum offer to A Level pathways - groups of core and recommended subjects clustered together and linked to university/career destinations - and I keep waving the literature in front of her in the hope it might help, but to no avail....

I am along for the ride too. Terrifying how quickly this comes around! I am quietly panicking as I don't think DS has actually realised he is entering Yr 11 ... expect plenty of panicked questions from me in the next few months

DD2 is going into year 11 September. This year has gone far too quickly.
Her plan was to organise notes etc over the summer, but we are half way through and nothing done yet!
DD1 is awaiting A-level results on Thursday - I have everyting crossed.

Joining you all on this journey.Nine years after beginning the whole journey of GCSE's,A levels and University with my eldest dd have to relive the whole journey with my youngest dd starting 2020.
However my stress levels will be going through the roof as we plan my eldest's dd wedding next year at the beginning of September shortly after the GCSE's are out of the way.I can now echo some of the thoughts from the film " Father of the Bride".
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
