How long do schools take to approve UCAS applications?!

Dd's Ucas application is now awaiting the approval of school before it is submitted and has been since Tuesday morning.
Anyone with any experience of how long is reasonable to wait?
I don't recall this 'delay' with DS's application two years ago. I know that school has lots of applications to process and DD waited until after the 'Oxbridge' deadline, before submitting hers to school.
Any experience, anyone, please?
Many thanks.

Now it's all online it does take longer I think.

Everything has to be checked - the qualifications, personal statement (including spelling) and we need to upload the school reference.

We are on half-term this week but if your break was last term then I would guess that a lot of applications came in on Monday and Tuesday!

Yes, they're probably inundated with them as Tuesday was the first day back after the half term holiday! :?

Completely depends on the school and number of students.

Waiting a week or two is not unreasonable, as the school needs to read through everything to ensure there are no mistakes, especially as it's now left to the student to fill everything in online.

KEFW took a long time to process my DS's application - he actually submitted this to the school prior to Oct 1/2 term but it was Dec before it was formally submitted to UCAS. It appears they go through several form tutor/head of year iterations

Thankfully he's now had 3 offers although most are challenging A*AA :(
