Yes - extremely relieved. Even though it wasn't the end of the world, last few days were quite stressful.

Took your advice and discussed setting up regular feedback with the tutors. For AS pupils, in addition to the set lessons, they have one-to-one tutor sessions available as well, but these need to be booked in advance. DS didn't make use of these last year and we weren't aware of this facility. This year, we are more knowledgeable and encouraging DS to use all the help that is available. We spoke to his tutors and they are amazingly friendly and helpful. Very happy with the outcome.

DS restarted year 12 too. But we had to move schools to enable him to do so.

Bucksmum, DD is using the same one to one thing, it sounds great, although she hasn't started it yet. Glad you sorted things out.

Thanks for the good wishes.
Two weeks in and DS is much happier at school than he has been for years.
He is studying and is able to take further maths again.
Good all round.
