Any tips on how to get started with BMAT without paying £££ to BMAT Snake Oil sellers?

Thanks in advance

DD did it using the official book "Preparing for the BMAT" available through Amazon etc. and the past papers available on the website. Use with caution though as it looks as though the test has changed slightly in the last couple of years. Googling "BMAT sample questions" should throw up a few sites which let you download past papers free of charge. The Student Room website is also worth checking out for the latest information about the current exam format and tips from previous candidates.

Thank you, turned green yesterday but feeling much better now! :D

In addition to the above, I think Cambridge Vet wanted BMAT as well as London, and Bristol Vet look at the score for anyone who took it for another vet school but don't require it themselves. DD didn't get offered a place at RVC despite a good BMAT score, but we wonder whether it played a part in her Bristol offer.

Quick tip - BMAT is taken after UCAS submission so just make sure you don't apply to all BMAT Med schools - a poor BMAT score (even with great predictions and CGSEs etc) could spell no offers
