Does anyone know whether any of the Sutton Boys schools chuck out their students who do not get an A in AS? Is this common practice?

WCGS and Wilson's both require at least CCC at AS to progress to A2, though of course this will change for your children as A levels will have been fully reformed. But currently AAD would mean that you couldn't continue at either school. You would also be stopped from doing Further Maths at A2 unless you had an A in maths at AS level.

Some subjects are not changing until September 2017.

You might wish to check if schools are still offering AS under the new specifications.

I think St Olave's have a higher bar - BBB.
