ALIS CEM test

Post by 2Girlsmum »

I've just checked our school calendar for Y12, and the students are all given a test on the second week. I've never heard of it before, but it is Alis (The Advanced Level Information System) test, which @gives teachers the reliable data they need to predict exam outcomes student by student, subject by subject'.

Does anyone know about this, or have any sample questions or links?

We don't use it anymore because the predictions were far too low.

There is no point to practising it.

Thanks both of you. I saw the links already, but was unaware that it would happen in 6th Form. Interesting that the predictions were low Guest55, the minimum requirement is at least 6 A/A*, and and A/A* in subjects studied, so I'm not sure the point of it either!

Exactly - and it is not free - they may use it for target setting.
