A level choices

Post by Pinecone »

Looking at another thread just now, I noticed a couple of comments stating that Chemistry A Level is really difficult and this has prompted my post:

How difficult do you think it is to do Chemistry, Physics and Maths together at A Level? I know they are difficult subjects but understand that there is some overlap and that they complement each other?

Is DC setting self up for a very difficult couple of years or do you think as current teachers support this choice it should be manageable? DC is predicted 8+ in each subject.

Thanks.

Your child needs to have a frank conversation with their teacher. Being good at GCSE does not mean they will do well at A level - maybe look at the specification to see if the content is of interest?

Those three A levels are a common selection and many students do cope -

Thanks Guest55.

DC has different teachers for all three subjects. All three have individually approved and encouraged DC to do their own subject. I just wonder how hard the combination will be at A level. Will have a look at the specs.
