DD tells me it’s quite different. A lot more context, more wider reading is required (not just the set books), more critical opinions. The essays obviously are longer and a much higher standard.
However the teachers did ease them into it, they realise that there’s a difference between gcse and A level.
They are expected to read more around the subject and indeed will need to. There is some coursework in year 13.
