Coursework mark effect on final grade?

Schools are not supposed to let students know coursework marks .... they have not been externally moderated yet.

For A Leven in at least 2 subjects this year that is not true. The new rules state that students have to be given their marks and have to have gone through a clear in-house appeals process by a certain date (I think it was yesterday) beforeany external moderation has taken place.

Asked son about this as was completely in the dark. He said no point appealing his as it was one of the ones that was moderated.
