All good, one grade higher than expected, university place all agreed, got to pay accommodation deposit
DD said when she picked up results at school, were about 30 in queue for clearing advice desk. Not sure how many needed very high grades.

Snowdaddy, is your school planning to appeal for cohort, if so many needed clearing advise?

I am told that one school has told pupils that the school is not eligible to appeal. How that could be said?

Until the appeals procedure is released on, I think Tuesday, nobody actually knows the how, what and when.
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad !

My dd was given ABB (Bio, Chem, Maths), was predicted AAB (B in maths) a year ago, CAG was AAA with high rankings.
She has been rejected to do medicine as she needed AAA. She is gutted.
School have recommended she appeal, and she's applied to re-sit in October too, and she's booked an appointment to do the UCAT again.
It's awful. She was ranked 10th for Maths (out of about 60 girls, last year this would have put her at A grade), for chemistry 13th out of about 60. This would not have got her an A last year.
However, they were bad results last year. And I cannot find the results for 2018 or 2017 anywhere. She has asked her school for these figures but they have not come back to her - to be fair, they said they had no idea how appeals were happening.
She is determined to be a doctor and although very upset, determined to re-sit two exams and ucat - but university were not very positive.

You can get these off the gov.uk website. From hereHowever, they were bad results last year. And I cannot find the results for 2018 or 2017 anywhere. She has asked her school for these figures but they have not come back to her - to be fair, they said they had no idea how appeals were happening.

Just like the rest of this government’s tenure. Don’t admit your fault, Just gradually mAke small changes until the problem goes away
