The Times names universities who have suffered a marked decrease in student numbers as the University of East London, Southampton Solent, Cumbria, Kingston, Bedfordshire & Huddersfield.

Solent would have been one of my picks; for the north west it could be any of a number, Cumbria would be an obvious candidate as would Edge Hill.

Meanwhile, just to bring some desperately needed stability to the sector (I really should highlight the sarcasm) this seems to have slipped past completely unnoticed:

Edge Hill have been at the forefront of research into every intervention in numeracy 'Every Child Counts' so I hope not ...
