Are you ready for Clearance 2010 Nightmare

It has been on the cards for months now and everyone has been sticking their heads in the sand and ignoring the situation. 2010 clearance of university spaces will be very slim this year as spaces are not available.

I have heard so many conflicting views from politicians but it appears that they have sanctioned thousands of new university places but have failed to back it up with the funds for these places, so many universities will not open the doors to clearance. It's going to be a bad year with many disappointed.

To all you out there trying, good luck... many will get through.

Dare one accuse this government of obfuscation?

I am nervously awaiting Thursday's results. My DS needs an AAB for Sheffield but, for reasons best known to teenage boys, barely failed to open his books in the lead up to the exams. He is a very bright chap who has, to date, sailed through life on a lovely calm sea - I am truly hoping that Thursday will not be his first dismasting!
