Medicine Any Places Available

My nephew got Straight As including an A star
Is there any route to entrance into Medicine at this stage for any university this year, based on clearing.
Any advice appreciated...
What medical courses can be done as Plan B if Medicine places are not available, given these grades.
Optician, Dentistry?

If he really wants to do Medicine then I would give Dentistry etc a miss.
I am currently studying a Biomedical Science Degree and a lot of students on my course are planning to do graduate medicine. Maybe that could be an option?

There rarely, if ever, are any clearing places for medicine - partly because they are oversubscribed and also more than just A levels are required eg UKCAT / BMAT scores and work experience etc etc. If he is keen then best to take a gap year, do the UKCAT / BMAT and get some work experience.
