I notice a lot of Universities don't like Candidates who have re-sat exams.
Is someone who took 2 goes to pass an exam less capable of one who passed it the 1st time.
It took me 2 goes to pass my driving test, am I therefore a worse driver then someone who passed it 1st go?

Popular universities use this as a 'filter' but that does mean it is sensible.

One resit per exam is, I think, a good idea; everyone can have an off day!

I disagree with schools that enter pupils over and over again for GCSEs to boost their League table position.

Changes at A level mean that resits will be restricted to finish the course in two years. Linear GCSEs will also restrict resits.
