Do you have an Essex Grammar Place but do not require it ??

If you were initially offered a Grammar School place in Essex at KEGS, CRGSG/B, WHSB/G or SHSB/G and have decided not to send your DC to one of these Essex Grammars Schools could you ensure that the relevant Councils are aware that you no longer want the place. The reason I am asking is that there are quite a few DC on 'waiting lists' for the above Grammar Schools that would definitely want the places.............For instance, my DS is no 1 on the 'waiting list' for WHSB and is desperate to attend.

I think and hope that you are preaching to the converted here.

Number 1 on the list sounds good, sadly education shuts down for August.

Good news this year there is a week of September before schools go back.

It is easy to say but I would put it out of your mind for the next four weeks and enjoy the summer.

My money says you will get a place.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
The Council/Admissions Departments are still open, at least in Chelmsford and Southend so if anyone was holding a place they did not require for any of the Essex Grammar Schools they could still ring and relinquish the place for DC on the 'waiting lists.
Thanks for being so optomistic, I sure hope my DS gets lucky instead of being 'just missed out'.
