I'm a DIY mum preparing my DD for the CEM test this year. As the CEM is a new experience for most of us, I thought it would be beneficial to share what we are doing and how it's going

I've worked through CGP, SATs papers and taught topics of individual subjects. What are you doing?

Same here....my dd preparing for Redbridge too. Are you referring to the cpg cem papers?
Has your dd sat any mocks anywhere? There seems to be so much to do!

She sat Mocks before 'the change' happened but not since.

We have used CGP revision guides to cover holes as well as the CEM papers. I didn't think they were that challenging though.

What are you doing?

Have also been working through the cpg for english and maths to cover any gaps. Tried few fptp for cloze but its extremely difficult! Just trying to get Dd to go through the vocab. Comprehension esp multiple is a problem area :(
Are you applying only to woodford or Latymer too?

My daughter sat the main Mocks, and in her opinion, they were nothing like the main test yesterday. I suppose CEM's secretive and transient formats are hard to predict.

That is very interesting feedback thank you. Students I know of had the opposite experience. Which mocks are you talking about? DG
