Travel to southend schools
Visited couple of Southend schools on open days.
Journey is quite long.
How does children cope up with journey or in the end parents just move to be closure to school.
We have couple of friends moving to Chemsford/Colchester/Southend/Basildon.

Re: Travel to southend schools
Well, some do cope well with the journey and still manage to take part in what one might consider the richer tapestry of school life (and/or home area based activities, possibly); others are probably happy (or their parents are, on their behalf ) with having their whole day filled with just travel and school / homework. Good practice for commuting for 'grown-up' work, I suppose.kbodh wrote:Visited couple of Southend schools on open days.

I would say that if the journey is one you wouldn't be willing to undertake yourself, please think twice about making your 11 year old sign up to do it for the next five or seven years.
