Two DC has got 110.87 . So , either your DS is 263 or 264 depending upon who is closure to the School. That said , on either position , he stands a very good chance of getting an offer before the school starts. Don't worry you have a very good chance. All the best !

Given the number whose DSs have also sat the QE and CSSE exams and will put QE or an Essex / Southend grammar above ICHS (some might think it would-be nice if Redbridge would make the opposite journey possible, but I can safely say I have never had any desire to send one of ours all the way from very near to WHSB / WHSG to Ilford or Woodford to school ), plus those who will opt for Bancrofts etc, you stand a very good chance. And some of those ranked above your DS will be OOC and stand no chance at all, which further improves your odds.

We live less than half a mile away from Ilford County hence why I really want him to attend this school. Like you guys have stated maybe we might get an offer before the star of school

Hi All

Just been reading all the concerns and replies and TBH I am still so worried.

My older son goes to ICHS already - when ranking was in place - 3 years ago which was so much clearer and better as you knew from the day of the results where you were at (although sibling priority is not applicable here) and hope that my younger one gets an offer. He scored 110.62. I know a boy that got in last year around July time with a score of 107 and obviously somebody has got in after that time at a 106.89 as stated on the results email.

Does anybody know of any amount of boys that are above 110.62 score and have opted for an alternative school as their first choice?

And can anybody advise me on anything ? This is and has been driving me crazy for the last 2 years and now that we have to wait till March or maybe longer is insane!!!

Furthermore, please do take into account that those scores are of every boy that sat the test, including out of catchment area too. I am trying to keep strong and calm hoping that there is a large number of boys that ranked higher than my DS (no dis-respect or offence to anybody) out of catchment - anybody know anybody in this situation? Plus those putting other schools as their first choice. I have also been told to stay positive because some parents use this test for the private tests in January as a real live mock for their children and of course as its free!!
