Thank you. This is really useful information to have all in one place. Mods, could you make this a sticky please? Thanks DG

Does anyone from Bucks know if this same paper will be used as the familiarisation paper the children will sit just before the real test in September?

The same familiarisation test was used year in year out in Bucks with the old GL papers. I just wondered if it is the same with the new test.

The test sat just before the real Bucks test is not the familiarisation paper - the familiarisation is just a few sheets with some basic questions.

The paper sat 2 days before the real test is called the preparation test. This will never be marked or released to parents. We do not know whether it will be the same as last year just yet. Ask again after 9 September and we may know a bit more.

Looks like Bexley is the only one which is different - the rest are all the same. Could not open the King Edward paper so can't comment on that.

I'll update the OP if we see any new stuff this year. I had a quick look but it looks like a lot of the websites will probably be updated after 2nd March.

It would not surprise me if the schools retain last years familiarisation booklets though!

A colleague of mine has just let me know that you can no longer download the Bexley familiarisation booklet unless you actually register for the test (then they send you a link).

It may be the link we have above but I would recommend you download it just in case it's removed.

Bexley by far is the most informative CEM familiarisation booklet available to date.

Thanks for the heads up. I agree that Bexley is the gold standard.

Do you think it is meant to represent a time period like 45 minutes or just examples of each format? DG
