Letts CEM Bumper Book, test C paper1

Post by salsa »

Hi all,

I have a doubt about the above test and I wonder if you have come across this issue before? Any help appreciated.

In the Grammar section it says that they have to spot punctuation errors, but it has a few grammatical errors to be spotted. Is this the way CEM view punctuation errors? Or is this how Letts see them?

We are used to GL where they have a separate section for grammatical errors and another one for the punctuation errors.

The instructions in the above paper read:
"There are some mistakes in the use of capital letters and punctuation."

Some of the answers included:
"This jacket of mine is wore out." The error was "wore" which for me, it has nothing to do with capital letters or punctuation.
"she hurted her let". Where "hurted" is the grammatical mistake.

Thanks,

Salsa
