Help please! Cem maths timings

My dd will be sitting for the cem berks and when doing the practice test he is not able to finish even half of the questions (long maths)... I am panicking now as he is good in maths quick once, but taking longer than he is suppose to .
Is this the case with most or needs to do something that can increase his speed.
Any tips or feedback highly appreciated.

CEM maths has many questions for the time on purpose.
The aim is to get as many correct as possible, make sure he marks a guess(or educated guess) for everything else as there is no negative karking.
Each child will have a difference speed-accuracy balance.

Try not to worry too much as this is a cohort exam: if everyone finds it tough, the pass mark will be lower.
