It depends which CEM you are doing, some are write in, some are multiple choice.
You need to teach her to chase the marks. Getting fixated on one question will hold her back in 11 plus, GCSEs and A levels.
It is not about one question, it is about the final score.

It is not can you do the questions but can you do them in the time allocated?
That is why timing is so critical.
Get her a watch and get her much more involved in how to track timing during the exam. DG
