Last minute CEM Bexley strategy and resources

Post by Grammargorilla »

I’ve just started helping a friend prepare their daughter for the Bexley exam this Sept. With only 15 or so weeks to go I was going to work through a mix of books, papers and vocabulary in following order:
Bond 10-11 10min tests
Athey papers
Letts CEM papers & CGP CEM 10 min tests
CGP CEM papers
Maybe some GL papers if time
Daily vocab practice

Obviously we will work in any gaps that arise, timings and exam technique as we go along. We will also do a couple of mocks.

Does that sound a good plan? Any other suggestions for essential CEM materials? Are the new format CGP CEM papers essentially a re-hash of the old version?

Any advice from seasoned tutors or DIYers would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The ten minute tests are an excellent place to start.

I think a full paper would be far too overwhelming to start with.

Athey is not CEM so I would focus on CEM resources first.

They are very many of them. Take a look at the forum shop. DG
