Thanks, I've started a new thread but I posted on here as I've known in the past of boys who had been offered WGBS but were on a waiting list for QE so would give up the place if offered QE.

I pressed submit once so no idea why 2 threads were opened. Deleted one now.

I spoke to QE admissions this morning and the wait list will be added/updated from this Friday (31st).

As a dear friend of mine is number one on the DAO waiting list and you have a DAO place and want a QE place I am very hopeful you will receive a place at QE this week and create a very Happy Easter for us! DG

I hope so. The wait is antagonising. The schools must be fed up with receiving calls from impatient parents, like myself.

I presume on Friday they will have already made some offers or they will tell us that offer letters to the first five or ten or whatever have been sent. I'm not entirely sure how it all works.

I have myself called them up twice. This is what I was told - will be posted on 31st and website will be updated with the waiting list position reached. Schools will be closed for Easter break so nothing happens till the 18th of April.
Although we are way down in the WL, I was anxious if we may miss out anything during the holiday as we will be away.
But yes the initial movement in the waiting list might give a fair idea for my DS.

Thanks for that parentoftwo. You managed to extract more information than I did. I got the impression that she was pretty fed up with repeating herself so I didn't push for any more detail.

If only there was a way for the school to provide the information to all the parents who want it, without having to have individual phone calls with each one. Maybe like a screen they could write words on, that the parents could then read...
