Yes correct DG. I am shocked at all the no-shows too. Appalling carry on. Don’t know where they’re going to. I know that neither Latymer or HBS has released a place so I presume they’ve been possibly sitting on private spaces.

What day did term start?
DAO released a space Thursday 6th Sept. Could that have been one of them?
Did they attend the induction days?
If not then likely to be those with private school places who had no real intention of taking the places. DG

She found it really tough. What threw her was that the girls around her seemed very confident. She reports that those girls also finished all the papers on time. If that's true, she doesn't stand a chance.BGGSM wrote:Done. How’d your DD find it?AngelinaN1 wrote:Anyone getting ready for this year's test tomorrow?
I felt really miserable in the evening having put all that stress on her. How did your daughter cope?

Confidence in an exam is often misplaced.
Beware the student who thinks it is "easy". It will not have been easy. Those who thought it so did not read the questions carefully enough.
Just because they finished on time does not mean that their answers were correct.
A student can write two pages in creative writing but gain hardly any marks because they do not write anything that will actually gain them marks.
If she found it tough then she will have focused and worked hard and that is a good thing. DG

For reference to next year journey we were called by SM yesterday . I believe the school arrived to 138 this year. Good luck to all the girls and mums who tried this year. Be strong and tenacious... patience will be paid off.
Good luck!
Ps do you know a very good math tutor to recommend for secondary school? Can you write me privately? Thank you xx
Absolutely amazing and huge congratulations. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Is a great school your DD will love it.

Just peeking on here as my second daughter took the St M’s exam last week.
Got to agree with DAO; my eldest daughter sat the exam two years ago said it was quite difficult; whereas her friend said it was easy. I presumed she hadn’t done well but it turned out that my daughter got a place and her friend was quite far down the rankings and didn’t get a place..
All is not lost!
