DG, do you any information in this regard?
Perhaps candidates are first ranked based on predicted grades in 6 or 8 best GCSE subjects. But as G55 mentioned, this must be specified in the Admissions Arrangements.
There is still time if some one wish to go to OSA to seek clarity in this school’s Admissions Arrangement.
