Hi

just wanted to know if the last day of school was the same in terms of pranks

I have a ds at QE and its his last day today and talk was of

putting mini rubber ducks into the pool,
letting live chickens loose in the school
cigars and drinks for those who turned 18....

just wondered if this was the norm on the final day.....

Ours had fish in the ventilation of the 6th form common room one year. Since then, they have been corralled somewhere where they can do not harm I believe (actually that might be the year 11s).
Most things they try to do are fairly mild, and the schools have seen it all before.

Year 11s had water pistols this year and apparently removed various classroom clocks too. One teacher got quite flustered apparently.

Students need to consider careful how 'funny' the school will find these pranks - students have been expelled when they have got out of hand and caused injury to others. Water on staircases is particularly dangerous.

Releasing live chickens sounds pretty stupid and could cause problems with the RSPCA.

The leaving committee get their plans approved by the school beforehand. So water pistols were fine. I don’t think they were allowed to use them inside and there’s very few classrooms were they need to go upstairs anyway.

there were 3 chickens released at the local GS one year.

they numbered them 1, 2 and 4 - many hours were spent looking for chicken number 3

I think it was the year 11 above DD's year whose 'pranks' caused major problems for the (absolutely wonderful) Facilities staff, if nothing else. There are amusing and essentially harmless things that might be done, but these were not they.

As for or the hens, where on earth were they going to get them from in the first place? I can't see the kind of parent who keeps them being the kind of person who would allow them to be used in such a way, somehow.
