There are could be 825 unranked, we do not know how many tied for the last place. DG

Worrybot, all verbal reasoning papers were marked. Only the top 325 students in verbal reasoning had their maths and english papers marked. To get a ranking you needed to be in the top 325 for VR.[/quote]

So this means that there will be 325 ranks and the top 60 will get a place provided they put DAO as their first choice on the CAF. The others who didn't rank high enough but quoted the school as their first choice will be put on a waiting list?

Yes worrybot but top 65, not 60. The remaining of the 325 on waiting list. In the letter it tells us the last ranks to get in on waiting list in previous years:

2017 156
2016 143
2015 120

There will be 325 ranks but the last rank to get in will go far beyond 65 as many will rank it lower than other schools or not even apply.

Last rank to be offered a place on allocation day 1st March this year was 110 and last rank to be offered a place before term started was 121.

It has always gone past 100 every year for the last 18 years.

So anyone with a rank of 100 and higher should get a place.

After 100 it gets uncertain. One year it only reached 103 so it is only really the first 100 ranks that can feel reasonably sure of a place.

But of course after Rank 65 you are relying on others to turn down the places. DG

The Maths took a hike last year and has continued on that journey.

All those who took QE and DAO were clear that the DAO maths was a lot harder.

Score required to get in the top Five was in the 380s. DG

Thanks! But nowhere near Wasn't expecting anything for music to be honest as I know competition is very tough.

CEM 113 was not marked so the last score to get your English and Maths papers marked was 114.

There may have been some on 114 who did not get them marked as if the ranks reached 325 and there were still some on 114 then the last place would have been decided on distance from the school. DG
