My DD1 was the opposite. She blossomed in Year 8. I think it’s because she has a summer birthday and a younger sibling so she didn’t properly mature until she was bit older. She’s still a bit young for her age but her work ethic has improved and she tries hard at school.scary mum wrote: My DSs have had pupils in their classes who are clearly not academically up to it, and usually they leave after GCSEs. So music place at Ashmole for my DD. She is very excited and I'm so pleased for her. And relax.... Fingers crossed for everyone else.

We got our music place too. End of the dream for DAO, but life goes on. DS is very happy, loads of his friends going to the same school.
