Yes.

It was not actually triggered by the transition event as I had expected but by a family who had put QE boys first and the waiting list finally reached them so they released their DAO space.

It is great that both families got their first choice.

I am hoping to see some more movement.

I am hoping that there are families holding private school and DAO places who decide to go private. DG

DAO ranks have reached rank 122.

This means it is no longer the smallest movement in recent years as that stands at 120.

Term starts on 4th September for new Y7s so thirty days left.

Are there still families out there holding onto two places?

The daughter of a friend of mine started St Albans High School for girls a couple of years ago and two girls just did not turn up on the first day.

They had chosen other schools but not bothered to let the school know. DG

DAO ranks have reached 123 and another place is released at QE as the DC (edited by moderator) who just took the place was holding a QE place so that place will go to a DC (edited by moderator) on their waiting list.

16 days before the start of term on the 4th September.

I wonder if any more places will come up. That is the second to come up in two weeks. DG

Whilst it may be the case that places come up at the start of term due to people holding on to two schools it could also be due to admin errors.
My DD has changed schools for sixth form.
We have
1. Written to the head in Feb.
2. Informed head of year.
3. Confirmed School move at A level choices meeting.
4. Emailed after Gcse results.
My daughter is however receiving emails about sixth form home work and her name is being called in class and subject registration her friends tell her.
