It has always gone further than Rank 100 every year for the past 20 years.

Last year it reached Rank 114 on allocation day 1st March and then gradually dropped to Rank 123 in August.

DAO allocation emails are starting to come through in Hertfordshire. DG

Do DAO send emails to confirm what place you hold on the waiting list of unsuccessful in being offered a place today?

Why is it so quiet on this thread

We received our email today at 2pm (in Herts), we've accepted the place.

Agreed! Interested to know the lowest ranking to be offered a place today

Not just this thread, everything is very peaceful, the allocation system has worked very well

91 did not get a place at DAO so the reason this thread is quiet is because the ranks did not go nearly so far this year.

That's very unusual - hopefully for those in the 90-100 range the waiting list will move by September.

Maybe this is partly the impact of exam timing. In particular, weren't the QE results out before the DAO exams took place?

So in theory, those with a high QE mark in the bank and whose first choice was QE might not have even sat the final DAO exams - if in a normal year there are (say) 15-20 of these in the DAO top 100, then that might have made a significant difference.

1,000 applicants sat the first round which was the same figure as last year.

325 students went through to the second round as specified in the admission criteria. I would be surprised to hear there were any no-shows in those 325.

Rank 85 has been allocated a place so the final rank to get a place this year is between 86 and 90.

Even if it is 90 then that will still be 24 ranks difference to last year.

It was necessary to go down to a rank in the 120's to find the 20th Islington applicant.

This is the first time I have seen such a difference between the two lists. If it is 90 that is still over 30 ranks difference in the last Islington rank to secure a place.

It will be interesting to see if this is because there was a shortage of applicants or that the applicants did not do so well this year.
