Great, thank you.

But as DAO is now closed for Easter it will be a while before that filters through.

The waiting list has moved 3 places from 85 to 88 but 89 and 90 are not on the waiting list as 91 is now 1st.

We do not know if it was 3 places becoming available or 2 or 1.

If it was 3 then that is almost 5%, 2 almost 4% and 1 almost 2% of the March 1st offers being turned down compared to 12% at HBS and 8% at QE,

I don't think DAO will go past 100 this year. It normally moves about 9 places so I think it will reach around 95/96.

No, as DAO has been on holiday.

The family who are currently number one will take the place so we will know as soon as that place is offered. DG

Currently the waiting list has moved to rank 91 which is now 1st on the list.

I think it is likely that it was actually just one space that was handed back and the other ranks were not on the list.

So that is just one space in 6 weeks.

So now any spaces coming back will be from those on waiting lists elsewhere such as the space that is on its way from the QE waiting list rank 3 and parents still deciding between private and DAO.

Rank 101 is now waiting list 6th so I still don't think it will reach Rank 100 this year as there are at least 3 families we know of between Rank 91 and Rank 100 who will take a place if offered.

Are another 3 places going to come up now after only 1 came up in 6 weeks? We know 1 is coming but will there be 2 more?

Are there parents holding onto a DAO place and a private school place because they can?

It will become a lot harder for them to do this when we reach the Y7 parents and students evening in mid June and the CATS test if they are going to be in June.

Hello all. Does anyone know if there has been any movement after the second round continuing interest, in Academic and Music entry for DAO?

Hi, check their website as it has just been updated today with all the latest information on last ranks offered a space.

The last place offered has reached Rank 95.

The last distance to be offered a place is now 431.65 metres.

The music list is still on 15.

DAO rank 101 was offered a place today so it did finally pass 100 almost 12 weeks after allocation day.

QE website still says 25.

A very different year for waiting lists. Wonder if this is a new low or things will return to normal this year? DG

DAO rank 109 has been offered a place. This is a movement of 24 ranks from the original rank of 85 on 1st March.

Music remains at rank 15 and distance has not changed from 431.65 metres.

As parents are now buying uniform and making travel plans it appears unlikely there will be more movement, although last year there was a final one place movement in the last week in August to Rank 123, a movement of 9 places from the rank 114 on allocation day.

So a rank movement this year of 15 more ranks than last year.

It appears clear that this year many more parents held onto their offer for a lot longer and probably actually accepted them whilst also holding onto a private school offer.

Concern over job stability could well have been the reason for that. DG
