Latymer test dates Sept 21

Has anyone contacted Latymer for an alternative test date due to a clash with SW Herts? Have they been given an alternative date?

Yes all those who contacted Latymer with a clash between SW Herts or HBS have been contacted and have been told they will be offered an alternative date.

This date has not been announced yet. DG

Presumably nobody has yet been contacted and given an alternative date. It looks unlikely that the “missing out” pupils will get 3rd,4th or 5th Sep 2021 (the actual planned test dates). Will have to sit tight and wait for the date to be confirmed by latymer school.

Yes.

The alternative date was received yesterday morning.

It is 14th September.

They were told immediately that it would not be one of the existing dates and a new date would need to be created.

Nobody was able to move onto the three existing dates.

14th is too close to QE for some who have decided to stay with the original date and give up the clashing school, SW Herts.

Those who decided to give up on SW Herts, do they have to inform Latymer of there decision to appear on the original date 4th Sep or they can simply turn up tomorrow?

They need to tell Latymer they no longer want the 14th and want to go back to the 4th as Latymer is under the impression that the applicant has asked for a new date and they have sent it to them.

So they need to tell them they have changed their mind as there may not be a paper for them tomorrow.

DAO have been using VR papers from GL with the student name already printed on the front of the paper so if Latymer is doing the same it may well cause a problem for a lot of students to turn up on the 4th that they were not expecting. DG
