Congrats to everyone with glowing results.
DS just got 205; He scored well at two QE mocks earlier and was hopeful of a better score.
A friend who scores similarly at mocks got 248. Wondering what happened.. disappointed.

Do we know last year, for what score tour invitation was sent?

There were no tours last year due to covid restrictions. The year before to my knowledge, anyone with 220 or above was invited. IMO, 229 must be the last score to get into QE last year hence it is used as a cut off for this year.

they provided 10 tour groups, each groups 30 children, so I think they just set the cut off score to be rank 300.

No, it was 232 in August and they will announce what it was in Sept at the tours.

Mods could you please change that in my post.

All the earlier posts are locked so I can't change it myself.

229 is high for the tours so that is not good news.


2900 was the figure they have quoted for applicants this year.

QE has invited tour for kids scored more than 229. So is 229 a safe score?

That means, this year, more boys got higher scores.

As per the email received:

candidates achieving a combined standardised score of 210 or higher are deemed to have met the standard required by the Governors

Considering 10 groups of 30 each, does it mean that 300 candidates are invited and the last one got 210? How does this math works?

I think it was 220 for the tours - however the place scores were rather higher
