Other posts indicated there are likely to be 30 family * 10 sessions. So, around 300 DS scored 229 or above. In the past, apprx. 33% DS did not put QE as #1 on CAF. 300 * 66% is 198 - not far off from the PAN of 180 (or 192). A coincidence?
Perhaps it actually is?

I don't think that is correct interpretation IMO. The results this year should be similar to the cohort of last year as around the same amount of students appeared in the test (over 2900). From last year results 229 is 403rd rank and if I have to take the guess, 229 may well be around the same rank this year (400). The 220 mark was around 550th rank in the past. If I was the school, I would not want to limit the tours to strictly 198th mark as in the past year the intake ranks got to above 350th rank in some years (I am talking about the rank order here and not the number). How many of students will put QE their first choice in CAF is anyone's guess so I guess we all have to wait and see how things pan out on 1st March.

Congratulations to all students who scored really well in QE. Really appreciate all the effort.
Could some one tell me what format will the email be to the people who scored above 240 in total?
I mean the format of the email?

There will be no more emails from the school.

Your education authority will email you on 1st March 2222 informing which school you have been allocated.

If you put QE first and there are still places left when it reaches your ranking allocation then you will be allocated a place.

But your education authority will tell you that, not QE.

If you are on the waiting list QE will email you the next day letting you know your position. DG

My son got 258 in total.
Maths: 136, and English: 122.

But QE is a little bit too far away for us, it will take more than one hour on the school coach, and my son need to get to the bus stop by 7am.

We may just choose another school in our local council, my son got the local results today, and he's got a higher score than QE.

I think this is the right decision.

You want to be involved in the life of the school and not be too tired because of the rigours of the daily grind of the travel.

How does your ds feel about it? DG

My DS agrees with choosing a closer school. Distance and easy commute are important to us.

Exactly the right mindset. Our DS got a comfortable score to get a place but we are also out of the race as we will go for Reading school as it is closer.

Updating my table as QE confirmed that 232 was the lowest score that was offered a place on the waiting list

The year refers to the start year in QE (Sep of this year - appeared in 11+ in the previous year)

Year LowestScore TotalBoys
2013 227 ------ (all 228 got in)
2014 223 1984 (all 224 got in)
2015 222 1945 (all 223 got in)
2016 226 2204 (all 227 got in)
2017 224 2223 (all 225 got in)
2018 229 2789 (all 230 got in)
2019 232 ----- (all 233 got in)
2020 229 2846 (all 230 got in)
2021 232 2928 (all 233 got in)

3 weeks to go until we know the last score to be offered a place on 1st March this year.

I am going to predict that it will be 236/237 which would be one or two marks higher than last year when it was 235 but right at the end of 235 as 234 in Potter Bar was 4th on the waiting list and was offered a place just a few weeks later.
