Linking Question Types
Hi
When tutoring a child at home it may help to link question types together rather than to go through each of the 21 question types in order. This is because some question types can be worked out by using similar methods & techniques.
A suggested list is,
Codes
Types 3, 9 and 14
Type 19
Making Words
Types 1 and 8
Types 5, 6 and 12
Types 13 and 20
Word Meaning
Types 2 and 10
Types 4, 16 and 21
Maths
Types 7 and 17
Types 11 and 18
Reading Information
Type 15
The Type numbers are from The Tutors catalogue, that can be referenced against IPS by using Sally-Anne's post.
Regards
Mike

I had done something simular for DS2's revision which we have recently embarked on.
Word of warning we have just come to the end of a stint of vocab type questions and it has been soul destroying. DS2 doesn't read much and I guessed vocab would be a sticking point, he didn't .
He was very relieved to start something else and realise he really isn't that hopeless.
