Transfer Appeals results!

Post by in Turmoil »

County have just told me that the last appeal for the school we are appealing for is now not until July 16th ours is on July 9th. This means that we will not have an outcome until the 22nd July after the schools have all broken up for the holidays. More importantly our DD will break up still not knowing where she will be going to school in September!

I am sure that County work very hard and are under alot of pressure but the children were tested back in February surely this could be timetabled to be complete before the end of the academic year!

Sorry venting my frustration!

Exactly the same scenario as last year.

Shame as I thought they were trying to avoid the situation this year.

Don't worry though, if it all comes good in the end the schools do work skeleton staff over the summer holidays and everything gets sorted, just not quite how you originally envisaged.

Good luck

A number of authorities seem to be experiencing a surge in the total number of appeals.

I suspect appeals administrators everywhere are working flat out to finish all the hearings - and they are totally dependent on the goodwill of panel members who are unpaid.

Since posting I have heard of another good result

Good - Princes Risborough, Holmer Green , Wye Valley :D
Bad - Princes Risborough (live approx 300m further away from the school than the successful appeal) :(
