12+ transfer appeal for AHS!

Post by dejavu »

Hi everyone

Thank you for your many congratulations for winning the SHF appeal for my DD yesterday.

I'm afraid that we've had the letter today about her AHS appeal - her first choice- and you are all going to have to do it again! WE WON THAT TOOOOOOO!

I am in a state of shock and will now have to go and lie down. But I wanted to share our good news with you all first. I cannot believe how good it feels (after those months of despair) and that we really do have a choice.

I will be posting details in the appropriate sticky over the next few days - after all, what am I going to do with my time now I have no appeals to win? I feel that I've got the full set now - won an 11+ appeal (DS), lost an 11+ appeal (DD), DD passes 12+ but is refused a place, but wins both appeals.

Thank you so much.
many thanks

WOW!! What fantastic new again! :D

I think I would go round both schools during the day - get a feel for how they cope with new 12+ entrants.

Well done again! :D

What a quandary - but a nice "problem" to have after all you've been through!

Dear Dejavu

How wonderful is that - you and DD deserve the choice and your 12+ appeal notes could be a masterscript for those next year

Have the greatest weekend in a long, long time - I'll be thinking of you!

Ambridge x

PS I agree with G55 about induction for Yr8 - without DS knowing so many at the school, he would have floundered for ages - bear that in mind when making your final decision - but hey, who minds decisions like that!!!

Fantastic!

You worked so hard on your case, dejavu - you really deserved this.

All the same, with so much competition for extra places, it's remarkable! :D

Many, many congratulations to you and DD.

I'm utterly speechless at your good news (again!)

What lucky children you have, to have such good advocates for their education.

Enjoy every minute of your success!
