Preference of choosing schools

Post by nuelly »

I have been so enlightened by the info on this site and have looked at it but been too unsure of what questions to ask before now.
I will like advise on what happens if I put a school of preference such as St Olavs as my first choice of school. Does this reduce my chance sof getting second or third choice grammer school or preferred comprehensive?
Is anyone aware of recommended books for the tests fromSt Olaves

If you want to have a chance at this school and it would be your first choice then you have to put it first.

If you put it second or third and are then eligible for a place at the school that you do put 1st then you won't be told about the place at St Olave's even if you could have had one.

I not sure about Bexley, but in Kent, if you put St O's as your first choice and your son did not get a good enough mark for it, it would not affect your chances of getting your second or third choice schools.
